MYCOOL SINGERS' NEXT PERFORMANCE

MyCool Singers (MCS) is the sister choir of the Mike King Collective. MCS is open to all singers regardless of level, experience, age (from 18) or background. Mike arranges a wide variety of repertoire for MCS, to challenge and inspire in equal measure, and together they have created a friendly, supportive and nurturing family atmosphere that is a core ingredient to their success.
MyCool Singers is also the choir of Mike's foundation - the MyCool Music Foundation - that aims to make a positive difference to individuals and communities through music. The choir has raised thousands of pounds through the foundation's 'Giving Through Singing' initiative and they are proud to have supported other charities and organisations such as Breast Cancer Care, the St. Thomas Lupus Trust, Chisomo Orphanage in Malawi, Ashdon Jazz Academy and Fibromyalgia UK.

MCS's recent uplifting and emotive performances have delighted audiences at the Royal Festival Hall, St. John's Smith Square, Albany Theatre, Greenwich Theatre, the famous Rivoli Ballroom and at St. Thomas' and Great Ormond Street hospitals in London.

"I just love the chance to work with Mike King. He is an inspirational choir leader who is a gifted arranger of songs as well as a brilliant teacher. MyCool Singers is more than a monthly community choir and has been from the very first session. It is a gathering of like-minded singers from various local (and not so local) choirs as well as individuals willing to take a risk and work together with Mike to interpret soul searching and joyful songs. These are skillfully arranged to maximize the blend of voices we are capable of. There is a willingness to connect, contribute and support that is outstanding with egos left at the front door while individuals offer their voices for solos. It is a safe space where confidence is nurtured. It is a space where anything is possible and, however hard we work learning our parts, we leave enriched and revitalized."
